The head of the Wujoud Movement, Muhammad Abu Sa’ida, confirmed that America considers Iraq a country under its guardianship and prevents it from obtaining weapons from some countries, with the aim of keeping it weak in the face of current challenges.
Abu Saeeda told Al-Maalouma, “Martyr Qassem Soleimani stood by Iraq and opened weapons depots in Iran to supply Iraq with the weapons it needs to confront the threat of ISIS terrorism until victory is achieved.”
He added, “Iraq has an opportunity to arm itself again through the Islamic Republic by contracting with it to provide the security and military services with what they need to confront any danger that Iraq may be exposed to in the coming days.”
He explained that “the process of contracting for weapons from manufacturing countries requires a long time for the first batch of weapons to arrive, but the matter is different with the Islamic Republic, except that the American positions and the pressures exerted by Washington will be a veto against Iraq obtaining weapons from the Islamic Republic, since it considers that Iraq is still under American guardianship.”
