Parliamentary warnings of several problems that will prevent the passage of the budget law

The Rafidain Parliamentary Bloc revealed, on Tuesday, that there are a number of problems with the draft federal budget law for 2021 that may prevent it from being passed in Parliament.
The head of the bloc, Yonadam Kanna, said in a statement to the official agency, that “after completing the second reading of the federal budget law, the House of Representatives will begin to discuss and amend the articles and paragraphs of the law.”
He pointed out that “there are many problems that will obstruct the passage of the federal budget law for 2021.”
Kanna added, “The terms and contents of the draft general budget bill are inconsistent with the articles and paragraphs of the white paper announced by the government last October,” stressing that “its size is large and its deficit is estimated at 54%.”
The Rafidain Parliamentary Bloc indicated that “the government complimented the political blocs in preparing the budget law, and that the draft law is free of any job grades.”
On Monday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee held a meeting in which it discussed the report it had prepared on the draft federal budget law for 2021.
