A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Representative Mudar Al-Karawi, confirmed, on Tuesday, that the 2023 budget has been sent to the President of the Republic for approval.
Al-Karawi said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the 2023 budget was sent to the President of the Republic for approval today, according to legal tracks.”
He added, “The budget, despite the many observations, is a product of consensus between the forces according to a principle that prevents any crises while including the largest possible number of segments.”
He pointed out that “the budget after approval will enter into force with all its items that were approved, ruling out the appeal by the government.”
And the House of Representatives had approved two days ago the 2023 budget, after discussions that lasted for many weeks, before voting on it.
