He explained that “there is a failure to follow up and take the correct measures regarding real estate, even from some other ministries that have real estate abroad,” indicating that “Iraq pays taxes on some of its properties abroad because of not restoring them and leaving them in ruins.”
He noted that “there are real estate such as Saddam’s palaces in the French city of Cannes, which are one of the most prestigious places and their prices are very high, and they are left without restoration, exploitation or even investment,” noting that “he wrote in the last session of the House of Representatives to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to the embassy Iraq in Paris should take advantage of these real estate, but to no avail. ”
