Parliament ends reading the eight bills{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The House of Representatives ended its fifth session of the fourth parliamentary session of the third legislative year of the first legislative term, which was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad Al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Council, today, Saturday 9/19 / 2020, in the presence of 182 deputies, the first reading of eight draft laws.
The House of Representatives stated in a statement that the Euphrates News Agency received a copy of it today that “at the beginning of the session, the parliament postponed consideration of the appeals submitted about the validity of the membership of some women and gentlemen until the legal quorum of two-thirds of the parliament members is achieved.”
The Council completed the first reading of the draft law amending the Law of the Iraqi High Criminal Court No. (10) of 2005 submitted by the Legal Committee in view of the criminal gravity that the so-called terrorist organization poses for Iraq and the international community and the ugliness of the crimes that They committed and resulted in brutal massacres that amounted to international crimes.

The statement added, “The council has completed the first reading of the draft law of the National Authority for Nuclear, Radiation, Chemical and Biological Regulation submitted by the Higher Education and Scientific Research, Health and Environment Committees, to benefit from the peaceful uses of atomic energy in the medical, agricultural, industrial and educational fields and to conduct multiple applied research and to avoid the inherent risks of ionizing radiation on workers. , Society and the environment, including the illegal disposal of nuclear, chemical, biological and radioactive sources, and to establish a legal framework to control them. ”

He continued, “During the session headed by Mr. Hassan Al-Kaabi, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, the first reading of the bill for Iraq’s accession to the International Convention on Loading Lines of 1966 and the amended protocol to it for the year 1988 amended in 2003 and submitted by the Committees on Foreign Relations, Services and Reconstruction in order to comply With unified principles and rules regarding loading limits for ships operating on international voyages and for the protection of life and property at sea, and for the purpose of the Republic of Iraq joining the International Convention of Loading Lines for the year 1966, which entered into force on 7/21/1968 and the amending protocol to it for the year 1988 amended in 2003. ”
