MP: State employees’ salaries secured through 2025

Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Mudhar Maan, confirmed on Tuesday that the salaries of employees of Iraqi institutions are secured through 2025.
Maan said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “Iraq’s financial position, despite the fluctuation in oil prices from time to time, is still good, with a financial balance in the Central Bank as reserves.”
He added, “The salaries of Iraqi employees and retirees in 2025 are secured and there is no need to worry,” stressing that “talk about the Ministry of Finance’s inability to pay salaries is inaccurate and far from the facts.”
He pointed out that the process of distributing salaries and financial reserves is carried out according to systematic procedures that take into consideration all scenarios, noting that “there are no concerns about the salaries file.”
It is noteworthy that some analysts recently indicated the possibility of Iraq’s inability to pay the salaries of its employees in the second half of 2025.
