Invited the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, the UN Security Council to put an end “to the risk of international sanctions imposed on Iraq under Chapter VII as a result of the former regime’s invasion of Kuwait.”

He asked Ban Ki-moon of the United Nations Security Council, “ending the threat of sanctions or the use of force against Iraq under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, the Council to discuss this issue next week.”

The Secretary-General of the UN has telephoned following the visit of the Kuwaiti delegation to Baghdad with the Emir of Kuwait, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki about the latest developments in the relations between the two countries, before that receives representatives of Iraq and Kuwait in the international organization, which request from Ki-moon display to remove Iraq from Chapter VII on the Security Council.
