Minister of Planning: The government will send a draft budget law for the remainder of the months of 2020

On Sunday (August 16, 2020), Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal, confirmed that the government will send a draft budget for the remainder of this year.
“The government will send in the coming days the draft budget law for the remainder of the year 2020,” Battal said in a statement to the official Iraqi News Agency, followed by (Baghdad Today).
He added that “the government is obligated to appoint all cadres to whom the medical graduation law applies.”
The House of Representatives voted on Wednesday (03 June 2020) on the form of a resolution obliging the Iraqi government to send the 2020 budget law during the month of June.
A parliamentary source said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), “The House of Representatives voted on the wording of a resolution requiring the government to expedite sending the draft federal budget bill for the year 2020, no later than the end of last June.”
He added, “The House of Representatives has completed the first reading of the draft law on domestic and external borrowing to finance the fiscal deficit for 2020.”
