Legal movement: The removal of American forces is binding and obligatory

The legal popular movement, on Sunday, described the current moves to expel foreign forces from Iraq as a mere media whirlwind, calling for the file to be brought up again on the parliament table.
The movement’s spokesman, Muhammad al-Sahhaf, said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, “The file of scheduling the foreign withdrawal from Iraq is no more than a media whirlwind,” explaining that “the decision to expel foreign forces, led by the American ones, is binding and must be implemented.”
He added, “The United States of America is indifferent to the decision of the Iraqi parliament calling for the removal of all foreign forces from the country,” pointing out that “the presence of those forces is illegal after the vote of the parliament, and therefore the political forces must follow up and implement the decision.”
And a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Hussein Al-Amiri, confirmed earlier that there was a parliamentary consensus on implementing the decision to remove US forces from Iraq, calling on the Prime Minister to inform Parliament about the reasons for this presence.
