Kuwait – ­Iraq ties “thriving and positive” ­­says Iraqi FM Zebari

CAIRO, Feb 7 (KUNA) ­­ Iraq’s Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari has described Kuwaiti ­Iraqi relations as “thriving and positive”, according to press release on Thursday.

Minister Zebari added in statement that Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al­Maliki on Wednesday met with His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al­Ahmad Al­Jaber Al­Sabah on the sidelines of the 12th OIC summit where they discussed bilateral relations.

The participation of the high­level leaders in the OIC Conference in Cairo is meant to support Egypt’s transition to a stable democratic system, he further added.

Zebari pointed out that the Muslim countries have a consensus to enhance Islamic solidarity, mentioned in final statement.
