The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), headed by Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani, said on Wednesday that the Kurdistan referendum will contain only one question, not through multiple questions. He pointed out that the referendum procedures will be transparent and in the same form of referenda.
“The referendum in Kurdistan will contain only one question and it will not be through multiple questions,” said the party’s leader Ashwaq al-Jaf. “The question will be about supporting the independence of the Kurdistan region, with two options, yes or no, on that question.”
“The referendum will be monitored internationally by some organizations as well as some foreign parliaments, where many members of these parliaments expressed their desire to observe the referendum,” Jaf said. “The referendum procedures will be transparent and in the same form of referenda after the Commission completed the updating of the data on the voters.” We support all measures that emphasize the transparency of the referendum. ”
