Khazali calls for the re-run of the legislative elections and threatens to boycott the entire political processShafaq News/ The leader of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali, expressed on Tuesday his rejection of the election results, calling for the re-run of the legislative elections.

In statements to Al-Jazeera, Khazali said, “The illogical results of the elections lead us to believe that they were programmed to win a party by a large margin.

He added, “Our demand for the re-run of the legislative elections is still valid because of the accompanying manipulation, and we refuse to recognize its results, and we may go to boycott the entire political process.”

Regarding the attempt to assassinate Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Khazali said, “We have doubts about that. Do not reassure us of the official story.”

He added, “We are inclined to the hypothesis of the third party in the assassination attempt with Israeli implementation and American coordination, and we demanded that there be a technical and accurate investigation that searches for evidence in the attempt to assassinate Al-Kazemi.”

Khazali added that “targeting the prime minister’s house means targeting the political system and the Iraqi state, and the accusations made in the assassination attempt are rejected, and this is what prompted us to request a reliable investigation.”
