Iraq ends 10 months of the year with a deficit of 16 trillion dinars.. and salaries inspire 57 percent of expendituresThe Iraqi state budget recorded a deficit of 16 trillion dinars during the first ten months of this year.

The financial data showed that Iraq spent 140 trillion dinars in 10 months, the highest expenditures were on the current budget and amounted to more than 100 trillion dinars, while investment expenditures amounted to 22 trillion dinars, in addition to granting advances of 18 trillion dinars.

In contrast, total revenues amounted to 124 trillion dinars, of which oil revenues amounted to 108 trillion, representing 88%, while non-oil revenues amounted to 14.4 trillion, representing 12% of total revenues.

Employee salaries amounted to 49 trillion dinars, while grants, aid, care and contributions to retirees’ salaries amounted to about 35 trillion, so that the total salaries amounted to more than 80 trillion dinars, constituting 80% of current expenditures and 57% of total expenditures.
