Iraq announces “very soon” the launch of the first satellite

Shafaq News/ Minister of Communications Arkan Shihab Al-Shaibani said on Wednesday that Iraq will soon announce the launch of the first local satellite.
This came in his speech during the second Iraqi cyber security conference, as he said that “Iraq will soon launch the first Iraqi satellite in the airspace of the country.”
He added that this achievement, which represents the prestige and sovereignty of the state and under the direct guidance of the Prime Minister, who emphasized on keeping pace with the technological development taking place in the telecommunications sector.
