Foreign Minister invites the President of the US Federal Bank to visit Iraq

(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met today, Monday, Kimberly Reed, President of the United States Import and Export Bank, on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue Forum 2020.
“The Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the joint relations that bind Iraq and the United States of America, and the need to advance them in various fields, especially the development of banking relations between the two sides,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, which Al Furat News received, expressing “his aspiration to benefit from Banking experiences of US banks. ”
The aspects of implementing the memorandum of understanding between the aforementioned bank and the Ministry of Finance, which were signed in 2019, were discussed, and how to benefit from the amount allocated in the memorandum in the fields of agriculture, investment, trade and others.
The minister invited the bank’s president to visit Baghdad to discuss cooperation files between the bank and the Iraqi government.
