Two government banks announced, on Wednesday, the suspension of financial transfers and credit activities, coinciding with the end of the current year.
A statement from the Trade Bank of Iraq received by Al-Maalouma stated that “it was decided to stop financial transfers and credit activities as of Sunday, December 24, 2023, for the purposes of the annual inventory in accordance with the policies and procedures followed annually.”
He added, “The last date for receiving financial transfer requests will be Thursday, December 21, 2023, and the service will resume on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.”
