Witnesses recounted heavy deployment of troops dedicated to the protection of the US Embassy in the Green Zone, the US military details.
A source working inside the Green Zone, which includes, along with the Embassy of the United States a number of government institutions and home to important figures in the Iraqi government, said the heavy deployment of the US Army in the Green Zone , indicating they were divided between the alleys of the area and above their buildings.
He added that the deployment came after the siren announced within the region where the alarming occurrence of imminent danger, and did not give information or other details.
