The government advisor, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, explained to Al-Maalouma, that “the strong measures taken by the monetary authority to impose stability in the exchange market, and as a result of it, the coming days are expected to witness stability in the exchange rate to be between 1455-1460 dinars against every dollar, stressing that the country enjoys a status The surplus in the current account of the Iraqi balance of payments, as the percentage of the aforementioned surplus relative to the gross domestic product is approximately (positive 15%), and this is a high percentage that provides stability to the national economy and is supported at the same time by official foreign currency reserves that touch 100 billion dollars.

On the other hand, a member of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee, Muhammad Al-Ziyadi, confirmed to Al-Malooma, that “the fluctuation of the dollar exchange rate and its rise in the local market occurred as a result of imposing a specific price by some owners of exchange outlets, as they impose their prices on some customers so that the price is circulated.” On all outlets, indicating that the solution to the problem of the rise lies in increasing the official outlets for selling the currency at the price specified by the Central Bank, so that banks are committed to selling it to citizens in order to reduce the price and return it to the specified value.

On the other hand, political analyst Hussein Al-Kinani saw, during his interview with Al-Maalouma, that “America has taken the dollar as a pressure card against the government to keep it away from China and its projects and push Baghdad towards Washington’s allies in the region, pointing out that America seeks to make the Sudanese government like its predecessor in order to serve its interests and thwart the projects of the new government.”
