Barzani headquarters denies statement about refusing to re-appoint Al-Sudani as Prime Minister

Shafaq News/ The headquarters of Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani denied, on Monday, what was circulated by media platforms about making a statement that included his rejection of appointing Mohammed Shia al-Sudani as Prime Minister of Iraq again.
Barzani’s headquarters said in a press statement received by Shafaq News Agency that some media platforms and accounts on social media circulated a statement attributed to President Barzani, claiming that he rejects the re-appointment of Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to assume the position of Prime Minister of Iraq again.
He added, “From here, we confirm that this claim is baseless and far from the truth, and that the aim of spreading such rumors is to destabilize the breakthrough and positive atmosphere prevailing in relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi federal government.”
