Media revealed that an agreement was reached between Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and the other coalition led by Moqtada al-Sadr, appointing a member of the coalition in one of the important posts in the Council of Ministers.
According to Sadiq Hamid, deputy of the province of Dhi Qar, in a press statement, has nominated the Sadr Alliance, the President of the Council of the province of Dhi Qar Hamid al-Ghazi for the post of Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers.
Hamid also confirmed that the agreement was approved by all parties, and there is nothing left but Abdul Mahdi’s signature on the decision in his office now and depends only on his official announcement to take over his duties.
The nomination of al-Ghazi took place after Abdul Mahdi took office a few days, specifically in October 2018, a position the Sadrists insisted on getting him to follow the government’s program close, and did not find better than Ghazi, being from the same province of Abdul Mahdi Dhi Qar And more consistent with it.
