AUSTRALIA’S FORMER PRIME MINISTER REFUSES CHILCOT REPORT CONFIRMS: THE DECISION WAS THE RIGHT ONE

BAGHDAD / Babylon 24 / .. of former Australian Prime Minister John Howard’s refusal, on Thursday, the results of the committee charged with investigating Britain’s role in the war on Iraq, which is headed by John Chilcot, noting that the decision to go into Iraq was justified in that period.
He said Howard, who chaired the Australian government between 1996-2007, at a press conference in Sydney, said he does not approve of “the results of the British committee,” denying “the existence of any lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.”
“I think that the decision to go to Iraq was justified in that period does not retract from that, weapons existed before the invasion, and intelligence made no mistakes.”
The head of the committee charged with investigating Britain’s role in the Iraq war, John Chilcot said, on Wednesday (July 6, 2016), that the decision to invade Iraq was not the right one, noting that the United Kingdom opted for the invasion of Iraq by peaceful option, as he emphasized that the report of the size of the threat of weapons of mass Iraq’s destruction came without a certain justification.
