{Baghdad: Al Furat News} An official document of the Presidency of the Council of Representatives revealed the value of internal and external borrowing that the government plans to cover its fiscal deficit.
According to a book from Deputy Speaker of the House, Hassan Al-Kaabi of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, on the allocations of employees, employees and contractors, Al-Furat News Agency obtained a copy of it, “The value of internal borrowing will be 15 trillion Iraqi dinars, and five billion dollars from abroad.”
Al-Kaabi expressed his hope that the committee would “include the financial allocations of the mentioned segments within the mentioned lending ceiling as expenditures payable to those entitled by the Ministry of Finance and retroactively, and put these expenses with a clear and explicit article that does not accept diligence and interpretation within the provisions of the aforementioned law to guarantee the rights of these segments.”
He stressed that “in the event that these financial benefits are not included within the aforementioned law, there will be no real opportunity for these segments to obtain their financial benefits, especially with the exclusion of the government sending the draft general financial budget law for 2020, and the Finance Committee will be a contribution to the failure to reach the benefits to its people.”
