America is importing Iraqi oil again after a week-long hiatusShafaq News / The US Energy Information Administration announced, on Saturday, that the United States will resume importing crude oil from Iraq during the past week.

“The average US imports of crude oil during the past week amounted to 5.883 million barrels per day, up by 899 thousand barrels from the previous week,” the administration said in a report seen by Shafaq News.

She added that “America imported crude oil from Iraq at a rate of 109 thousand barrels per day during the past week, up from the previous week, which did not import any quantity of crude oil from Iraq.”

She pointed out that “most of America’s oil revenues during the past week came from Canada, at 3.989 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico, whose imports amounted to 679,000 barrels per day, then Brazil, at 284,000 barrels per day.”

She pointed out that “the amount of US imports of crude oil from Saudi Arabia amounted to 281 thousand barrels per day, and imports from Ecuador amounted to 248 thousand barrels per day, from Colombia 210 thousand barrels per day, and from Nigeria 83 thousand barrels per day.”

The US Energy Information Administration announced on the fifth of this month that Iraqi oil exports to America had dropped to zero during the past week.
