The media office of Vice President Nuri al-Maliki revealed on Monday the existence of channels of communication with the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Massoud Barzani, while stressing the possibility of alliance with Barzani Party provided the renewal of a third term for the owners according to their belief in the project “political majority.”
The director of Maliki’s office, Hisham al-Rikabi said in a press statement that “all differences with the leaders of the Kurdistan region of Iraq based on the Constitution and the law,” noting that “Maliki did not interrupt his contacts with Barzani and other Kurdish blocs,” pointing at the same time, “the existence of channels of communication with all forces Including the Kurdistan Democratic Party. ”
On his response to a statement by the head of the Democratic Party bloc Arafat Karam on the possibility of alliance with al-Maliki, said Rikabi that “Maliki’s alliances conditional on his return to the post of prime minister,” explaining that “whoever believes in the project of the majority political will be our ally and welcome, including the Kurdistan Democratic Party” .
It is noteworthy that al-Maliki in the Arbil agreement in 2010 is one of the continuation of the Kurdistanists led by Massoud on the resources of the Iraqi state and the control of the Peshmerga on 80% of the mixed areas in return for renewal for a second term !.
