Al-Fateh Explains The Reasons Why It Is Not Possible To Form A Majority GovernmentInformation/special

On Sunday, the representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad Karim, revealed the reasons for the inability to form a majority government, while warning against the process of tyranny with opinion and the imposition of wills towards rivalries and political alignments.

Karim said in an interview with the “Information” agency, “Some political blocs talk about the government of the national majority, but this majority does not exist for the most prominent reasons; Who are the majority and where is their majority? If we are talking about a parliamentary majority, they have twice failed to achieve a quorum for the session to choose the president of the republic, and if it does not want a consensual government, why would it form a tripartite alliance of various components and leave part of these same components and marginalize minorities among them.

Karim addressed the Tripartite Alliance blocs, “If you are the national majority in which you can agree with all the Kurds or the Sunnis, why do you leave part of the Shiite component and try to exclude it from its national right?”

The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance explained that “everyone has begun to realize the importance of having a political agreement, not for the sake of quotas, gains or spoils, as some political parties are trying to portray, but for the sake of Iraq and the interest of its people.”

He continued, “The political blocs realized that the process of exclusion and marginalization of some parties may affect the tripartite alliance in the future,” stressing that “the process of tyranny by opinion and imposing wills may move to a more dangerous and deeper stage than this stage and go towards rivalry and political alignments and others.”
