Today, Tuesday, member of the Fatah Alliance, Khaled Al-Saray, called for the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq in a constitutional and legally binding manner.
Al-Saray said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The American forces are present in Iraq to carry out unknown missions and without any legal framework governing their presence.”
He added that “American violations of Iraqi sovereignty have been ongoing since 2003 without any deterrent,” noting that “the Foreign Ministry’s action towards these violations is very timid.”
He explained that “the joint committees tasked with the withdrawal of these forces are about to submit their final report on the withdrawal of American forces in the coming days,” noting that “this report will include the mechanism for the withdrawal, the manner, and the time period, all of which will be binding on both parties.”
Most Iraqi political forces have issued their support for the Prime Minister regarding the steps to expel American forces from Iraq after a series of attacks against Iraqi security forces.
