Shafaq News/ On Friday, Iraqi parliament member Alia Nassif announced her withdrawal from the State of Law Coalition led by Nouri al-Maliki, while revealing the reasons for taking this decision.
Nassif wrote, in her blog post on the X platform: “I announce my departure from the State of Law bloc, due to the difference in political visions for the next stage.”
She explained that the reason for her departure was “the distinction between the members of the State of Law, especially between independents and those with party affiliation.”
Nassif pointed out that “this vision exists among most independent members, and the coming days will reveal the discrimination and classism that is taking place.”
