Shafaq News/ A source in the Sadrist movement revealed on Monday that there is more than one candidate who has no objection to al-Sadr to take over the position of prime minister.
The source, who is a leader in the movement, told Shafak News Agency; “Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr is the one who will exclusively determine the personality of the prime minister in the next government,” noting that “there is more than one person nominated for this position and has no objection to al-Sadr.”
With regard to the coordination framework, the source clarified; That “the coordinating framework and the political blocs propose specific personalities for the position of prime minister, who will be talked about, but the choice will be exclusively by al-Sadr.”
added source; “The personality of the Prime Minister will be announced after the election of the President of the Republic in the House of Representatives.”
A source in the coordination framework of the Shiite forces revealed, earlier on Monday, the approval of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to include a compromise candidate presented by the framework in the list of candidates for the position of prime minister.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, that Al-Sadr “expressed his no objection to the nomination of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi for the position of Prime Minister in a mini-list that also includes the current Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and Haider Al-Abadi.”
