The legal expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, explained the extent to which Iraq is able to request compensation from the countries from which the terrorists came to the country.
Al-Tamimi told “the information”, that “after the legislation of a law in Parliament demanding compensation for victims of terrorism, Iraq can follow the legal path to obtain compensation from the countries from which the terrorists came to the country.”
He explained that “the United Nations placed the terrorist ISIS in 2014 under Chapter VII, so when it issues internal decisions they are obligatory, and international decisions support it to take compensation from the countries involved in terrorism.”
He pointed out that “the causal relationship between terrorizing the perpetrated persons and their countries of origin, because there are countries that send them, while other countries have nothing to do with them. Here the United Nations settles it by forming committees to reach the truth.”
