Earth News/ The former Minister of Interior, Baqir Jabr Al-Zubaidi, revealed today, Sunday, a regional move to resolve the political impasse in Iraq.
Al-Zubaidi said in a statement received by “Earth News” that, “After the parties reached a dead end, an active regional move was made to resolve the blockage and dismantle the stalemate, due to the regional certainty that Iraq’s survival in the present situation will turn it into an arena for competition and external polarization capable of changing the entire regional map. And he indicated that “the reasons behind the blockage and insurgency were similar to the last elections of suspicion and skepticism about the results that resulted and the electoral numbers that revealed them, and the wide disparity between the volumes of participation and the representation seats.
And he continued, “Despite the huge rise in global oil prices, the country’s economic conditions are still on its ‘station’, which means that we are facing a political and economic crisis that is not easy at all, which requires going to produce a service government run by a qualitative team of people of knowledge and competence who has integrity and sincerity to the people and the country, and not a political government.”
Al-Zubaidi explained, “The course of the political situation after the month of Ramadan may lead to the election of a president of the republic, and his presence in the State Palace will be enough to free the necks of Iraqis from the problems and crises that are burdened by the vertical mountains.”
