A deputy on Sadikon reveals the construction alliance presents a new candidate for prime minister[Baghdad-Ain]
The deputy of the Sadqoun bloc, Abd al-Amir al-Ta`ban, revealed on Sunday the name of a new candidate to head the transitional government, which was submitted by the Construction Alliance.
Al-Tayban said, in a statement today, that “upon the desire of the Iraqi street and the angry masses, the candidacy of Asaad Al-Eidani to the Prime Minister was withdrawn,” noting that “the Building Alliance is in the process of studying a distinguished person to present it to the President of the Republic.”

He added that “through the orientation of the street’s desire to test a well-known Iraqi figure, I expect the nomination of Lieutenant General Abdul-Ghani Al-Asadi to head the next transitional government,” while the Building Alliance called for Al-Asadi to be nominated for the position as being acceptable to the provinces and the protesters of Tahrir Square in central Baghdad.

He stressed the continuation of the building alliance by holding consultative meetings with the rest of the blocs on choosing a new figure, pointing out that “there is an approach from the congresses of conquest and construction to pass Al-Asadi.”

And that “what happened from the reaction to the rejection of the candidate of the largest bloc considered the building coalition a violation of the constitution and a lack of commitment by the President of the Republic to his responsibilities according to Article 76 of the Constitution,” stressing that “the President of the Republic is subject to pressure from well-known political blocs, but this does not prevent him nor give him The right to pass the construction candidate and he could sit and submit a new candidate instead of traveling to Sulaimaniyah. ”

The deputy of “Sadikon”, Wajih Abbas, confirmed in a statement yesterday, the existence of a proposal to reassign resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi during the transitional period, stating that “the transitional government will have full authority and must impose security.”
