The head of the Sabean-Mandaean bloc, Osama Al-Badri, clarified, on Monday, the fate of the initiative launched by the independent deputies to address the political blockage in the country.
Al-Badri said in an interview, “The initiative launched by the independents is still in the area of understandings and consultations, and the negotiating team is preparing to arrange dates for meetings with the political blocs in terms of priorities,” noting that “the negotiating team studies the political aspects of all the outcomes of the meetings of the political blocs, their directions and desires to achieve the formation of the government.” According to a pattern that it finds appropriate according to its plans, principles and ideas.”
He added, “The negotiating team set an agenda for each political bloc to negotiate with it, bring views closer, study the initiative, and the possibility of reaching solutions that end the political blockage.”
Al-Badri suggested that the Kurdish parties would reach an agreement on choosing a candidate for the presidency in the coming weeks, indicating that it is “the beginning of the end of the crisis, and then proceeding with the task of forming the government.”
