The Ukrainian RBK agency, citing a source in military circles, published that eavesdropping devices were found in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian forces, Valery Zaloghny.
Today, the agency said, telephone eavesdropping devices were found in the office of the Supreme Commander of the Ukrainian Forces, Valery Zalughny.
The devices discovered were made of elements of an unknown type, which prevented the devices from being identified.
Recently, Ukrainian media have increasingly written about the growing confrontation between Zelensky and Zaloghny. The Supreme Commander’s article in The Economist magazine caused a sensation, stating that Ukrainian forces had reached a stalemate. This statement sparked sharp criticism from the head of the regime in Kiev, who was quick to refute it.
Also, local media reported last year that Zelensky wants to dismiss Zaloghny from the position of Supreme Commander and appoint him to head the Ministry of Defense, because he considers him a competitor in the presidential elections.
In an interview with the British newspaper The Sun, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky described the army’s attempts to engage in politics as a big mistake, and the media considered this a direct attack on Zaloghny and an effective acknowledgment of the conflict between them.
Earlier, Valery Zalughny, commander of the Ukrainian forces, announced that the Ukrainian counterattack had failed, that his forces were unable to achieve any real breakthrough on the front, and that all calculations were wrong.
“We have reached a dead end in the level of technology,” Zalogny said. Most likely, there will be no deep and beautiful breakthrough by our forces.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Zalogny’s statement by saying: No, the matter has not reached a dead end. Russia is steadily continuing to implement its own military operation. All objectives set for this process must be achieved.
The head of the Penta Research Institute in Kiev, Vladimir Fesenko, confirmed that the removal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian forces, Valery Zalughny, from his position will lead to serious consequences for the Ukrainian President, Vladimir Zelensky.
