A picture obtained (Baghdad today) showed the moment US President Donald Trump received Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi after his arrival in a presidential car to the White House.

Earlier, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, confirmed, today, Thursday, his commitment to the rapid exit of the international coalition forces from Iraq, while setting the time period for the withdrawal.

The official Iraqi News Agency, “INA”, cited statements that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, who is visiting Washington now, met with US President Trump.

According to the official agency, Baghdad and Washington agreed to form a special team to discuss mechanisms and timings for the redeployment of the international coalition forces.

During the meeting, Trump expressed his harmony with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, saying: “Al-Kazemi is a man who I get along very well with.”

And on the military withdrawal from Iraq, Trump said: “We have largely withdrawn from Iraq and very few soldiers remain,” reiterating his commitment to “a rapid exit of the international coalition forces within three years.”

The meeting witnessed the signing of Washington and Baghdad of a memorandum of understanding to support the health sector in Iraq, in addition to Washington’s confirmation of its support for Iraq’s relations with neighboring countries, and its support for Al-Kazemi’s plans to reform the economy.

In a speech from Washington, which he arrived on Wednesday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi stressed that Iraq faces a real challenge with the spread of the Corona virus in the country and the fight against corruption.

Al-Kazemi said, “We are facing a real challenge with the spread of the Corona virus in the country,” stressing, “We are determined to meet the challenges, advance economic reality and combat corruption.”

He pointed out that “economic reform is the only option we have, and that fighting corruption is the most important goal of his government,” noting that “his government seeks to improve the income level of the Iraqi individual.”

The Prime Minister pointed out that “Iraq is in talks with international companies to track down the corrupt, as it is about to sign notes in various sectors.”
