A deputy reveals a secret agreement between Baghdad and Washington regarding setting the date for the American withdrawalBaghdad today – Baghdad

the deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Mukhtar al-Musawi, confirmed on Wednesday (17 June 2020) that an agreement he described as secret in the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States of America was held last Thursday regarding the withdrawal of its forces from the country.

Moussawi told (Baghdad today), that “the American forces will not stay on Iraqi soil for a long time,” noting that “the strategic dialogue with Washington touched on this matter.”

He added that “during the dialogue, the two sides agreed to schedule the withdrawal of forces in secret without being announced,” noting that “the date for the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq is ahead of the US elections, according to what we have received.”

With regard to the American pledges in the dialogue to support Iraq in his financial crisis, he said, “We will not count on the Americans to support Iraq to get out of the financial crisis because Washington is working on the ruin and destruction of the country and not its reconstruction. If it had such intentions, it would have worked on that since 2003.”

In a dialogue with him on the “Shortest Roads” program, on Al Sharqiya station, the head of the Iraqi delegation in the strategic dialogue with the United States, Abdul Karim Hashem, revealed the course of negotiations regarding the presence of American forces in Iraq, where he indicated that “during the hours of the dialogue we had with Washington We discussed with the American side the presence of foreign forces. ”

“We have constants, including the decision of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to remove these forces, in addition to ending the remaining ISIS gangs, because the current ISIS challenge is not the same as before and dealing with it differed, as we emphasized on not permitting a permanent US military presence in Iraq.”

He went on to say, “America’s request for dialogue with Iraq does not mean that it wants to stay and they did not ask for it. They remain according to an authorization from the Iraqi government.”
