The leader of the Fatah alliance has reached a dead end on his quest to end the row between Sadr’s leader Moqtada al-Sadr and former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, a senior political source said on Monday.

The source, who declined to be named, told “Watan News” that “the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr refused mediation initiated by the leader of the Fatah alliance Hadi al-Amiri to end the dispute between Sadr and Maliki.”

He added that “Sadr told Amiri insistence on the need to move all files that accused al-Maliki of financial and administrative corruption, as well as an invasion calling the terrorist to four provinces during the era of his rule.”
