The legal expert Tariq Harb, on Monday, that the right of deputies to the President of the current president to assume the post of president in the case of dismissal of Fouad Masoum, by the House of Representatives.
A senior parliamentary source said today that there are parliamentary efforts to collect signatures inside the parliament to dismiss President Fuad Masum on the backdrop of a referendum in Kurdistan.
“The Iraqi constitution does not provide for the presence of three vice-presidents of the republic,” he said, noting that “Nuri al-Maliki, not the first deputy of infallible, as the parliament did not vote to call the deputies to certain degrees.”
The legal expert, “the parliament to find a quick alternative in the event of a vote on the removal of infallible from the office,” calling at the same time the House of Representatives to “put the name of an alternative to infallible in the same session of dismissal in the event that has been, and therefore not to allow the occurrence of political disputes against the background of the matter” .
It is noteworthy that the local media reported on news that the Vice President Nuri al-Maliki, is the candidate most likely to become president in the event of dismissal of infallible by Parliament.
